Sky Machine - Prologue Glyph - Part 2 - Prototype

We are not alone in the Universe. This notion shattered those soldiers’ realities that fateful night in 1947. As they stood there in awe, watching the flames on the spaceship slowly dwindle in the summer breeze, the men contemplated their place in the Cosmos. Where did it come from? Who sent it? And why? These questions and more were churning about in their minds. The commanding sergeant, who was anxiously screaming orders at them, jolted them back to the present moment. They had to move the ship, and quickly.

As the US military were moving the wreckage, they were ambushed. The perpetrators, a covert group with unknown affiliations, were methodical in their purpose—eliminate the squadron, move the ship to an underground facility for scientific study, and leave no traces.

In the years that followed this historic night, the Roswell community struggled to resolve their distrust of the official narrative—that it was simply a crashed weather balloon. Both Sheriff Wilcox and Bill Foster especially, could not mitigate their unease and distrust of official sources. Their scepticism led to many unsuccessful investigations into the strange events of that night in 1947 and the formation of an unlikely friendship. However, no matter how much progress they thought they were making in unravelling these bizarre events, the truth continued to elude them.

Far underground and hidden from the ever-evolving world above, progress was being made in understanding the technological systems of this otherworldly machine.

There was evidence of electromagnetic damage from the solar blast and subsequent crash, which enabled the scientists to penetrate its exterior armour. Inside, they found an abundance of scientific treasures. Small bio-robotic bipedal beings with multiple dexterous appendages were discovered. They had been disabled due to the crash. Their consciousness seemed to be connected to the ship through a technological symbiosis. This inspired the scientists to deduce a thesis that the ship itself was artificially intelligent and had control over these beings. Although the machine exhibited evidence of advanced cognition, the scientists believed that a greater intelligence had sent it.

The scientists also found samples of rocks from the Moon and Mars, ice from Europa, and various gases such as methane and ammonia from Neptune. There were more shocking discoveries made as well—the ship contained remains of human beings and animals from Earth, fossils of extinct prehistoric creatures such as the teeth from a megalodon and the femur of a tyrannosaurus rex—among a myriad of other biological materials. It appeared as though this artificially intelligent machine had been observing and studying our solar system for millennia.

These were not the only treasures that were mined from this alien entity. Its energy system, propulsion system and AI core were also scrutinised for decades until the scientists grasped the mechanisms behind such advanced technology.

Armed with the knowledge gained from their thorough research, the scientists began to reverse engineer and create prototype ships, robots and energy systems of their own. They also began to experiment with bioengineering, genetic engineering, ectogenesis and the integration of organic material with robotics.

The advancement in technology gained from these discoveries was so revolutionary that the covert organisation behind this underground facility began to devise a plan, a plan to create a new secret civilisation on Mars…
